Link your Steam account

Link Steam from the account page by signing in through Steam. Once linked, you're highlighted by default in demos you played in. It can be done once and can't be changed or undone.

With your Steam account linked, you're highlighted by default whenever you open a demo you played in. Linking is a one-time thing: it can't be changed or unlinked afterwards, so make sure it's the Steam account you actually play matches on.

Link it

  1. Click your avatar at the bottom left and choose “Account & Steam”.
  2. Under “Steam account”, click “Sign in through Steam to link”.
  3. You're taken to Steam. Sign in there with the account you play on.
  4. Back in cs2coach, a “Link this Steam account?” dialog shows that Steam account's avatar, name and ID. Check it, then click “Link account”.

After that, the section shows your Steam ID, the date you linked it and a link to your Steam profile.

What it's for

  • When you open a demo you played in, the replay highlights you by default.
  • The member list under “Members & settings” shows your Steam ID; members who haven't linked show “Not linked”.

One time only

  • A cs2coach account can be linked to one Steam account, and that can't be changed or unlinked.
  • A Steam account can be linked to only one cs2coach account.

Common cases

The dialog shows the wrong Steam account Click “Cancel” — nothing has been linked yet. Switch to the right account on Steam, then click “Sign in through Steam to link” again.

“This Steam account is already linked to another account” That Steam account is linked to a different cs2coach account. If that isn't you, contact us.

“The linking request has expired. Please start again.” Click “Sign in through Steam to link” again and go through the steps once more.

“Can't reach Steam right now. Please try again later.” Give it a moment and retry.

Linked, but I'm not highlighted You're only highlighted when the demo contains the Steam account you linked. Matches played on another account don't count.
