cs2coach reads CS2 GOTV demos — the kind recorded from the spectator side, with all ten players in it.
Supported sources
- Perfect World
- 5E (5EPlay)
- Valve matchmaking
- Pro match demos downloaded from HLTV
Supported file formats
| Format | What it is |
|---|---|
.dem | The raw demo file |
.dem.bz2, .dem.gz | A single compressed demo, common for platform downloads |
.zip, .rar | An archive, which may hold several demos |
Upload archives as they are, without unpacking. An archive with several maps is split automatically, one demo per map.
Limits
- A single uploaded file can be up to 1 GB.
- A demo can't be larger than 4 GB once unpacked.
- An archive can hold up to 10 demos; split larger ones into several archives.
Not supported
- Player-recorded POV demos: they only hold one player's view, not the whole match.
- CS:GO demos: only CS2 is supported.
Common cases
An HLTV demo seems to be missing rounds Some HLTV demos lack round records in the file itself. Uploads are checked and repaired automatically where possible; you can also run a check by hand in “Repair demo”.
Not sure whether your demo will work Just upload it. If it isn't supported, the demo library tells you why — see When processing fails.
